Help with the upkeep, development and conservation of the historic Wollaton Walled Garden and join our friendly and enthusiastic volunteer team.
The Walled Garden dates back to the 1870s, covers 4 acres and is surrounded by 12 foot high brick walls which are grade 1 listed and a gardeners cottage built (1788). The garden is historically important and over the past few years our volunteer team have lead the way in bringing it back to its former glory and making it a space that will be enjoyed by all. Whether you enjoy growing vegetables or flowers, helping with building restoration, there’s something to appeal to every kind of gardener. The garden volunteers attend on a Tuesday and Thursday and would welcome new volunteers to join them. You don’t need experience, just enthusiasm and a desire to help maintain this beautiful area of Wollaton Park.
