EXHIBITION & TICKETS

WHAT IS THE TITUS T. REX IS KING EXHIBITION?

Titus: T. rex is King is an extraordinary exhibition, showcasing the first real Tyrannosaurus rex to be displayed in England for over a century.

Explore the world of this titanic predator and his story: you’ll see the skeleton of the T. rex himself, as well as digital and interactive virtual media displays that will immerse you in his extraordinary journey from discovery in the Montana Badlands in the USA, through the experience of excavation, curation, examination, rebuild and final reveal.

You will also be able to explore the legend of the T. rex, learn the truth behind the myths about this iconic dinosaur – and perhaps decide if in fact he was covered in scales, feathers or both.

An absolute must-see, this is an epic, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to come face to face with a real T. rex up-close and personal in the UK. Don’t miss the Titus: T. rex is King, only at Wollaton Hall. Book now: www.wollatonhall.org.uk/titus

All tickets will be issued as E-tickets. We encourage customers to display their tickets on their phone on arrival, rather than printing, to reduce contact with event staff.

Tickets will be safely scanned on arrival.

Please be aware that we don’t authorise or have any control over the sale of tickets via third-party websites.

HOW CAN I ARRANGE MERCHANDISE?

All merchandise can be purchased on the day and collected in the Hall shop.

IS THERE A DISCOUNT FOR A CITY RESIDENT?

No, there isn’t a resident discount associated with the tickets for this premium event, due to the extensive work undertaken to unearth the skeleton of the Tyrannosaurus rex and transport from United States of America to the United Kingdom.

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS?

Yes! We encourage visitors to take photos throughout the exhibition and share them on social media with the hashtag  #TitusTrexIsKing and @WollatonHall. Please be mindful when taking photographs as this can block the path for other visitors.

GENERAL & FACILITIES

CAN I BUY FOOD & DRINK?

There are refreshments available in the Wollaton Hall & Deer Park cafés, in the Courtyard or 508 café. Takeaway vendors operate throughout Wollaton Hall & Deer Park, though are subject to availability and opening times.

Food may not be consumed within the Hall, due to it being a listed Elizabethan property.

CAN I PAY USING CASH?

All cafés and food & drink vendors will take contactless card payment only.

ARE THERE TOILETS AVAILABLE?

There are toilets located in the Courtyard and next to the 508 café by the Wollaton road entrance. We ask all visitors to make use of the toilet facilities outside of the Hall & exhibition before arrival, as toilets are not available inside the Hall throughout the exhibition route. For the nearest toilets to the exhibition, please go to the courtyard building immediately adjacent to both the Hall and the top car park.

IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?

There is a car park on-site at Wollaton Hall, however this can fill up quickly. We do encourage people to take public transport where they can. Parking prices are up to £5 all day. Parking in the car park is free to those with a Blue Badge by the entrance to the Hall (subject to time limit).

All car parking can be arranged via RingGo website, app & phone – and via contactless payment in the shop & café. All car parking tickets provided by the shop & café would need to be displayed in the car.

The car park is available in line with the park opening & closing times.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Please ensure you wear appropriate and comfortable clothing and footwear. The exhibition throughout the Hall has flat terrain and flooring, though the Hall is situated in a park with undulating terrain, therefore appropriate and comfortable clothing and footwear is always recommended.

ACCESSIBILITY

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO WALK THROUGH THE EXHIBITION?

We anticipate that the length will be no longer than 45 minutes – 1 hour to complete.

The route is designed to be as accessible as possible with a lift to the experience within the Hall, please see our FAQ on wheelchairs / mobility scooters / buggies & accessibility.

If you have specific access needs please contact wollaton.hall@nottinghamcity.gov.uk and we will do our best to accommodate you.

CAN I BRING WHEELCHAIRS/MOBILITY SCOOTERS/BUGGIES?

Our exhibition is located on the 1st floor of Wollaton Hall. It has been designed to be an accessible exhibition with lift access where required for accessibility.

As one of our lifts has a max weight of 200kg, which is defined as 100kg for wheelchair and a person, we ask anyone attending with a wheelchair above 100kg to email wollaton.hall@nottinghamcity.gov.uk  or phone 0115 876 3100 to arrange staff assisted access into the Hall in addition to your ticket, in advance. When you contact us we will arrange a place and time to meet you prior to your booking. You will also need to purchase the ticket with ‘wheelchair access required’.

Customers should be aware that buggies may be requested to be stored near the entrance in a buggy park in front of the Hall upon arrival. Buggies would need to be left at owners risk. It is therefore recommended where possible for buggies to be kept in the car and collected after the exhibition.

If the lift is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, we would endeavour to re-arrange your ticket if this was an essential requirement as part of your visit.

We do not provide wheelchairs or mobility scooters, however, those who require a wheelchair or a mobility scooter are welcome to bring them bearing in mind the advice above.

DO YOU PROVIDE CARER TICKETS?

Yes, we do provide a carer ticket on the Titus tickets page, which allows all carers to attend free of a charge with the person they are carer for.

Any disabled person purchasing any ticket (Adult / Child / Concession / Wheelchair Accessible etc) may bring one essential carer companion free of charge without needing a specific carer ticket.

We only ask that the carer brings their standard proof that they are a carer to be able to present on entry to the exhibition with their carer’s ticket.

DO YOU HAVE QUIETER SESSIONS FOR AUTISM AWARENESS?

Due to the fact the exhibition has an interactive roar sound toward the end of the route, and the exhibition can have a number of visitors at busier times, which can make it noisier for visitors that are not used to sounds, we are able to run quieter sessions where we accommodate for this by temporarily disabling the sound sensor and allowing entry ahead of the general public opening – this is typically arranged in the morning around 10 am. To arrange in advance, please email wollaton.hall@nottinghamcity.gov.uk – we will reply within 72 hours with a suggested session day or time.

ARE DOGS ALLOWED IN THE EXHIBITION?

Registered disability assistance dogs are allowed in the Hall, other dogs are not allowed. A standard ticket will be required for the person that has an assistance dog, and you will be able to enter the exhibition with your assistance dog.

CANCELLATION, EXCHANGES & REFUND POLICY

Please be sure that you have chosen the right entry date and time slot at the time of making your booking, as we are unable to offer exchanges or refunds once tickets have been purchased. We are also not able to offer refunds on unwanted/lost tickets.

If we have to cancel the event as it unsafe to proceed, visitors will be offered an alternative date.

If the event is cancelled by us and patrons are not able to attend an alternative night offered, then a face value refund will be considered on a case-by-case basis. By its nature the exhibition is designed to be enjoyed at a distance and a leisurely pace, please respect all fellow visitors by allowing space for all to enjoy the skeleton of the T. rex, the interactive displays & installations.

COVID-19 SAFETY

In 2020 we successfully ran safe events with social distancing measures in place. We will continue to review the government guidelines with regards to COVID-19 and customer safety and will communicate any updates with all customers. Please note, if in the event Wollaton Hall is closed or the exhibition is cancelled, you will be notified and offered an alternative date, if available, or a refund if we are unable to offer an alternative date.

All our covid safety measures in place can be found via our visit page: www.wollatonhall.org.uk/visit

These include capacity measures with booked time slots and directional layout to accommodate social distancing, hand sanitiser and face coverings encouraged to be worn inside the hall.
