In this session:
- Identify and name basic body parts
- Learn whether all creatures have skeletons
- Investigate how skeletons support our bodies and protect vital organs
- Learn the names of the most important bones, see x-rays, and collect facts about their shapes and properties.
- Compare animal specimens and try the ‘bone detectives’ challenge, identifying and sketching different species
- Visit the natural history galleries and discover creatures with external skeletons, fossilised dinosaur bones plus snake and chimpanzee exhibits
Duration: 1.5 hours | 10.30am -12noon or 1pm – 2.30pm
