Tours of Wollaton’s Secret Walled Garden
Join us to discover the Walled Garden on Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th September, as part of Heritage Open Days.
- 10:30 am – 3:30 pm
- Every 30 minutes
- Tours lasts approximately 45 minutes
- Tours start in the Park at the gate just beyond Mr Mans restaurant
Tours are free but donations are welcome
Safety: Due to the uneven ground and the nature of the Walled Garden, this tour is not suitable for wheelchairs, buggies or prams. Dogs on leads are by owner supervision. Sturdy footwear is recommended.

As part of Heritage Open Days, we opened up Wollaton Hall & Park to visitors for free entry to explore our Elizabethan mansion, Natural History Collections and discover activities throughout our park.
Donations are welcome to support the upkeep of the Hall & Park

Booking in advance is recommended, though not essential –
Additional walk ups to the Hall will be permitted on a first come first served basis, in line with hall capacity.
Discover Wollaton Hall & Park
Wollaton Hall is an Elizabethan mansion designed by the Elizabethan architect, Robert Smythson.
The building contains the Great Hall, Natural History Collections displayed in the hall and the Salon, which offers views over the Formal Gardens.
Wollaton Park & Lake
Wollaton Park is a 500 acre park home to a variety of wildlife, including two herds of wild deer, 90 Red and 120 Fallow, as well as other wildlife, and many of these enjoy time st the lake.
Throughout the park we have play parks to keep kids entertained, which are located near the 508 café and Sutton Passey crescent.
