Guidance & Information
Our top priority is the safety of our visitors & team.
Due to the changes in government guidelines that all visitors must be local, we are finding that the park is operating differently to during the spring/summer 2020 when we were able to resume some of our concessions & vendors.
With the high level of coronavirus cases nationally, and the requirement for visitors to ‘stay at home’, we find the park is operating closer to the measures seen in earlier phases of the first lockdown. In relation to this, we have had an increase in complaints for the wide range of facilities available and the perceived use of the park that attracts visitors beyond Nottingham.
As a result, we decided to temporarily scale back the range of facilities available throughout the park. This has meant the temporary closure of all our retail shops, along with the Hall (already closed), and to cease running all events. The café operates on site with a reduced offer for local residences visiting the park as part of daily exercise. With the running of a wider range of facilities & activities, we would usually see a higher level of footfall including visitors from further afield, however, as a result of their closure, we do not expect the high level of footfall and therefore the concessions & vendors are temporarily closed also.
We do not anticipate that the remaining facilities will be busier than usual, as have seen a change of behavior with visitors largely accessing the park for exercise in line with the government guidance, however, we will continue to monitor the situation and take measures accordingly if needed.
Our hope is that if the steps we have already taken help drive down the cases then we will be able to resume facilities & activities in the near future and we will keep you updated when this is possible.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time.
