Keeping everyone safe

As per the latest government regulations, see our facilities available and extra measures we’re taking so you can enjoy your visit.

Live in Nottingham? We encourage everyone to walk or cycle to the park rather than by car, where possible, as this not only helps the environment, though keeps roads clear for the emergency services & keyworkers. All ways we can keep each other & the park safe.

Corporate Volunteers

Are you part of a group or business? Would you like to spend a day with your team out of the office, getting your hands dirty?

Leave the world of work for wellies and waterproofs!

We have a variety of physical tasks around the gardens throughout the year at Wollaton Hall and Deer Park. These tasks provide a great opportunity for team working and you would be helping us maintain our grounds for visitors and future generations.

Benefits?

You get to work out doors in one of our beautiful gardens alongside experienced staff members.

It gives your team the opportunity to do personal and team development in a very different environment – and have fun at the same time.

Whilst working with us, your team will be carrying out specific tasks that contribute to the work or Nottingham City Museums and Galleries.

To discuss further how you might like your team to get involved contact us.

We are currently offering opportunities to assist in our Wollaton Park walled garden restoration project on Thursdays. Click here to find out more about it.

Companies that volunteered with us in 2019

“The team thoroughly enjoyed helping out for the morning and it was great to have the introduction and guided tour of the Secret Walled Garden. Everyone made us feel very welcome. Thank you so much for having us!” – Anthea, Boots

“We had great fun and loved to see the volunteers and yourselves are so passionate about the Gardens. What you are doing is fantastic and I wish we had more days to help. Grahams talk at the beginning was really interesting and we enjoyed learning about the secret gardens and what they were used for.” – Kirstie, Capital One
