Wollaton’s Walled Garden plays an important role in the transformation of the Wollaton Hall & Deer Park estate to become a World of Wonder accessible to everyone.
Our goal is to develop the Walled Garden to bring to life and unify the estate of Wollaton Hall & Deer Park. The ambition is that the walled garden will be a place to build knowledge and share skills & resources and will include an interactive hub linked to sustainability and health & wellbeing.
With support of partners & volunteers across Nottinghamshire, an appeal to restore the cucumber house is in place, with a series of tours and talks throughout the year.
Tours of the Walled Garden give you an opportunity to see the 4-acre site with 12 foot high walls and Head Gardens Cottage built between 1783 – 1788. The Volunteer Lead is an important role to the site ensuring the smooth operation and coordination of activities within the Wollaton Walled Garden Project, supporting its mission of restoration and community engagement.
