A fun day for all to find out about the history of Wollaton Park’s Secret Walled Garden, discover what was grown and how the garden looked in its heyday over 100 years ago, and meet the fantastic volunteers restoring its heritage.
Self-guided tours of the Walled Garden give you an opportunity to see the 4-acre site with 12-foot-high walls and Head Gardener’s Cottage built between 1783 – 1788.
Explore the work done by volunteers over the last five years to reclaim the site from the ravages of time and the encroachment of ivy and brambles, to grow flowers and vegetables once again.
All for donations, cash preferred
All proceeds go towards restoration of the Walled Garden
